Does Bmw 335i Require Premium Gas. I drive a 12 year old 3 series and it requires 91 octane so i always use premium which is 93 most places around here. The reason you need premium gas is because the bmw 335 engine is a high compression engine.
Once i found a gas station in maine that only had 91 and it ran fine but i have never put anything under that. You could gradually lower your. Plus i am a mechanic and engineer.
I think it is sill.
Here is my take on it. It s an m model. It has a high compression and or turbo engine. I think bmw actually recomends against fuel additives in the owners manual.
